Going Normal…
Health mandates waning, outdoor activities gaining…some normalcy returns! So normal, in fact, all I have done is work, work, work. Yard work that is. After letting things slide for a year due to “you know what”, there is picking up yard debris, cutting the lawn, triming overgrown shrubs, painting lawn furniture, staining decks and fences. I could go on, but instead, let’s talk going to normality…
The silver Lincoln was getting non-dependable, so a new vehicle had to be secured: to haul bikes, and any other assortment of getting outside stuff. And my big truck is no longer desirable to travel in (according to my travel companion of many many years!)…so we compromised from Lincoln to Jeep (shhhh: but it is a Cherokee). Now that’s a real change in our lives!
Guess what was needed…a new utility cargo trailer - downsized of course, but large enough for a motorcycle and various other toys - and a new bike rack since the Jeep has a lift gate on the back where as the Lincoln had a normal trunk! PS - if you need a good used Thule trunk mount bike rack, I know where one is kept.
Fully assembled now, the Kuat NV 2.0 fits securely on the Jeep towing hitch, as it should. My only caution on this rack - it’s heavy so watch your back!
I am now ready to saddle up and break my butt back in for biking through some of America this year…future postings will tell you where we visited.
