The first real eBike outing: the High Bridge Trail near Farmville, Virginia…

Only days before spring arrives, the weather turned sunny and warm: making it a perfect eBike day!

An eBike isn’t necessary to enjoy this converted railway trail, but at 70+ years young it helps! Only 31 miles long and running smack through Farmville and right by 3 Roads Brewing Company, makes this trek marvelous. Into town at lunch time there is a great place to eat and drink called North Street Press Club, or if you want to be near the Appomattox River, there is Charley’s Waterfront Cafe & Wine Bar. Both of these rate 5 stars in my book!

And the main attraction, the High Bridge being 125’ above the Appomattox River and 2,400 feet long is awe inspiring…especially given it’s historic origin and service to this region. Check the details here: High Bridge. BUT, really check out the trail and the town yourself for true fun.

SafetyTip: eBikes are heavy, sooooo buy a good stout bike rack for your vehicle if you’re hanging bikes on the rear! Mine is a Kuat NV 2.0.

Happy Biking…spring is here and time to get out and resume the fun!
