Counseling for the Daring Traveler
It all begins when you decide to break away without the “group of tourists” surrounding you. You may be planning to go it alone, with a companion or with a few friends that share your enthusiasm for adventure; and it’s not that difficult! Perhaps this site will offer some helpful advice to motivate you into action, to decide where to go, when to go and how to plan to get there. There may be even a thought or two on what to do when you arrive at your destination. This advice comes from a well seasoned traveler that rarely uses a travel agent or travel agency to plan for me and my traveling companions.
Needing fresh air…
CORONA fatigue and US election rhetoric combined should be driving you outdoors!
So take it outside and enjoy sights…
The Pandemic Pedal…
…let’s bike our way out of boredom.
Find a good 6-10 miles ride and make it last for an hour or more. If you’re not accustomed to long rides; then don’t do a long ride; build it up by getting out more often with short rides until you’re ready to ratchet it up. Find a training plan suited to your desires…Try Garmin Connect, for example and seek out one of their training plans. Or if you want technical; try Cycling Weekly: https://www.cyclingweekly.com/fitness/training/cycling-training-plan-beginner-153317. But get outside in the fresh air and ride for an hour or so; it will do your body and soul a world of good.
Stay tuned and find out how my biking brings more blogging…
Going COVID Crazy…
Tired of this ongoing pandemic? Well I am for sure…but rest assured it is here to stay; so we have to do the COVID Cope!
The new way to trip…
Make your travels during this pandemic local, outside and simple…all you need is good hiking shoes, a backpack for water, goodies and a camera/phone; and don’t forget to take your mask! Be socially responsible and use it if you need to be indoors for any reason. It’s not for you, it’s for your neighbors.
Be outdoors, be responsible.
